Germany’s diplomatic missions in Türkiye – the German Embassy in Ankara and the Consulates General in Istanbul and Izmir – have launched a new application procedure for business visas in cooperation with DEinternational: Business Fast Track (Fast-Track Business Visa).
As of 1 August 2025, the existing special arrangements (VIP procedure and the agreement between the Consulate General in Istanbul and AHK Türkiye) have ended.
Business Fast Track – Key Advantages
- Faster appointment scheduling
- Fewer documents
- Longer-validity business visa
This procedure applies exclusively to employees of companies whose registration has been approved and who are travelling to Germany for business purposes. Family members are excluded.
Participation Requirements
To participate in the Business Fast Track (BFT) programme, at least two of the following three main criteria must be met.
1. Main Criterion: Corporate or Company-Law Connection
This criterion is considered fulfilled if at least one of the following applies:
- Membership in the German-Turkish Chamber of Industry and Commerce (ATTSO)*
- Membership in the Turkish-German Chamber of Industry and Commerce (TATSO)
- Membership in the Turkish-German Business Council of the Foreign Economic Relations Board of Türkiye (DEİK)
- Being a subsidiary or branch of a German company
For applications based on membership, the membership must have existed for at least two years.
2. Main Criterion: Economic Size
To fulfil this criterion, both of the following requirements must be met:
- At least 100 employees
- At least EUR 500,000 annual turnover
Both requirements must be met simultaneously.
3. Main Criterion: Economic Connection with Germany
This criterion is considered fulfilled if at least one of the following applies:
- Investments in Germany
- Import or export relations with Germany
- Ongoing projects or contracts with German business partners
- Technical or service-related cooperation with German companies
*Special Provision for German-Turkish Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ATTSO) Members
Companies that were ATTSO members before 6 May 2025 are not subject to the two-year membership requirement. For other members, the two-year membership requirement remains applicable.
Only companies that were already members of the ATTSO before 6 May 2025 are covered by this special provision. For these companies, the two-year membership requirement does not apply. They are therefore considered to fulfill the 1st criterion, regardless of the length of their membership. However, for a BFT application, at least one of the two additional criteria (2nd or 3rd criterion) must also be fulfilled.
