As AHK Türkiye, we were honored to organize and take part in a distinguished German–French Business Evening hosted by the Consulate General of the Federal Republic of Germany in Istanbul, bringing together diplomatic and business leaders to exchange views on the current state and future outlook of German–French business relations.
With a strong focus on Europe and Türkiye, the event once again underlined the lasting significance of the Élysée Treaty and the importance of close trilateral dialogue and economic cooperation between Germany, France, and Türkiye.
The evening opened with welcome remarks by:
- Dr. Regine Grienberger — German Consul General in Istanbul
- Nadia Fanton — French Consul General in Istanbul
This was followed by the high-level panel discussion titled “German–French Business Relations on the Occasion of the 63rd Anniversary of the Élysée Treaty – Status Quo and Outlook”, moderated by Burkhardt Hellemann, General Secretary & Board Member, AHK Türkiye, who guided the discussion among leading representatives of the business community:
